Took the opportunity to savor the food at the local restaurants in Reno, Nevada. The first two restaurants were recommended to us. The final restaurant was in downtown Reno that was a couple of doors down the McDonald’s Restaurant where I had breakfast in the morning. Even though no one had recommended it to us, we loved the food there, especially the spring rolls.
Eugene traveled to Reno, Nevada on Friday the 13th to attend the Davidson THINK Summer Institute. He joins 63 other THINKers between the ages 13 years and 16 years from around the country. THINKers will complete two 3-credit hour college courses in three weeks.
After attending Center for Talent Development’s Opportunities for the Future Conference at the Northwestern University, we stopped by a local restaurant for dinner. This is probably the last time that we will have a reason to visit Evanston. Since 2013, we have visited the college campus for various reasons, namely the CTD NUMATS Awards Ceremony and CTD Summer Programs, such as Apogee and Spectrum. Eugene has aged out of NUMATS and will be joining other programs, such as the Davidson THINK Summer Institute in Reno, Nevada.

On March 20, 2018, I visited La Crosse, Wisconsin. It was a cloudy day unlike the day before when it was sunny and warmer.
Compared to the winter storm in February 2015, this weekend’s was a fluffy one, with snow on the deck table resembling a bundt cake. Today marks the ninth consecutive snowing day, tying the record.
Began my drive to work in the new year in frigid temperatures, with windchills as low as -22 degrees Fahrenheit. The last time it was this cold was in January 2015.
Ordered a cup of latte at the Google Chicago office on December 14, 2017 and received a work of art….
